Roberta on Italian Pasta

I served a Moscato d’Asti – a light, slightly off-dry sparkling wine from the Piedmont region of northern Italy.  This pairs beautifully with the gorgonzola cheese in the pasta (another specialty of Piedmont).  Sparkling wines from Italy are generally less expensive than those from France or California, so keep a few bottles on hand to toast your friends at your next get-together – “salute”.
